I haven't seen any articles regarding people challenging the models and those who made &/or used them replying as to why they're changing, why they may still be useful... or not.
It seems to me that they made the original projections based upon info they originally got from the Chinese government and early info from some other countries before they made and implemented the models.
I assume that the original ones were made before the massive social distancing, then later the shutdowns of businesses, schools, sporting events and so on. Massive changes like that would have to have a major impact on the spread of the virus wouldn't they? That was the assumption when they recommended them... and even more so later when they mandated them.
