have already shifted generationally. It used to be kids thought of cars as a right of passage and a sign of freedom. Those millennials view them more as an unwanted necessity.

I don't see the car industry completely disappearing but I do see it shrinking drastically in the next 10 to 20.


I was talking to my dad that worked for GM this weekend and we were looking at the market cap of GM and comparing it to the expeucted IPO market caps for Lyft and Uber.

GM was 55 billion I think
Lyft is projected at 25 billion I think
Uber is projected at 120 billion I think


He said "How is a company that makes a phone app worth almost 2.5 times one of the largest car manufacturers in the world?"
