They have a choice.....play fb get free education and a chance for much much more if ur lucky enough to be of the 1% who makes it to the NFL....thing is ur life and limb in your playing career and beyond....it's a choice to play....players in this sport are not paid ridiculous amounts bc of risk
....they are paid a fair amount to take on the risk....take it or leave it
