The idea of fairness is not even an issue, precisely because it cannot be defined. Whatever additional benefits that the NCAA elects to give to student-athletes does not make it more fair. It just changes the distribution of the money.
As regarding "loathe the black race", and yes I'm white, I'm afraid that you do not understand it correctly. What you elected to overlook is that the injustices that have happened to blacks in America that you have mentioned have not occurred over "hundreds of years." The condition of the black race in America has always been on an upward trajectory. It has always been changing for the better and never been a static condition.
The shame is that a proud race of people, that has endured more than its fair share of hardships, has squandered so much opportunity and consistently embraces the cult of victimization. This lady's complaint is a perfect example of this problem. Could this discussion be a problem for recruiting black athletes to MU? I suppose it can. But, that once again highlights the difficulty of discussing these issues. Criticism can and often does sting, but this women's attitude has earned her the scorn that she is receiving.
