This is interesting.

Makes me re-think my own childhood, when I would have gladly done anything to be such a slave.

Unfortunately, when I graduated high school I was 175 lbs and my jump shot was suspect.

The thing is, this cheapens the memory of *actual* slavery. If you don't like the contract you VOLUNTARILY enter into, then, leave that contract, or negotiate a different one.

If any were alive to see college basketball in its modern form I'm sure that *actual* slaves from the 1800's would bristle at the comparison of the trials and tribulations they went through to playing college basketball.
