Excellent drive to the hoop from the wing and was able to attack the rim with control and balance. That is something that none of the returning players have ever demonstrated.
Has he demonstrated that reliably, no. But all people have claimed is that he has shown flashes. I don't recall JP every once driving from the wing through traffic and actually finishing at the rim. He always stumbled and bumbled and lost balance and ended up with some sort of little turned around or hook instead of a play at the rim.
Smith may not work out, but he has the potential to do some things that other players on the team simply cannot do.
All of this talk that you're reading is about what he might do, and you guys are acting like people are saying he is going to do it no doubt
