hate anything related to Kim.
He was behind those centers you mention because Kim had no idea who or what Smith was and completely miscast him.
Nobody knows what his production will actually be coming off of injury, so in the end it could look like you are right, but it won't be for the reasons you think. Smith's ceiling is tremendous. His floor is also somewhat low.
Even as a freshman, given rare opportunities, he was able to attack the lane off the dribble far better than Jontay, because he is a much superior athlete. Not sure he can shoot as well outside and he obviously is not as strong.
In a preseason video released by the team, before he re-injured the knee, he was shown hitting a turnaround, fadeaway three pointer. Not many guys can do that
