But, here you go:
1. Everyone treats Lock like he can't get better because he is a Junior and he know us what he is. I disagree, his fresh year never should have happened and I think it slowed his development. We saw his start to settle in as the year went on. I think this is year 2 for Lock, it certainly is as a known starter going into the year. And most players show biggest improvement between year one and two.
2. We know who the main man will be at RB. Remember, this time last year it was Ish....now Ish gets to play the role he always should have....a change of pace back. And with a really good running game that will open up some passing lanes for Lock.
3. The D scheme experience is over and BO is known as a very good DC, I think he learned a lot last year in his first as HC. I think he came in not wanting to 'over-manage' his coordinators because that may have been part of his recruitment speach when he hired them. But he learned that he is ultimately responsible even if he isn't calling the plays. So I don't see that mistake being made again
4. Our best defensive player will be back TBJ....we can't even begin to underestimate how valuable a healthy TBJ would be to this D. Hopefully the kid gets a break and stays healthy.
5. Most teams, as you yourself have mentioned, are taking MU for granted, and why wouldn't they will do many of our own fans think this teams us going to suck. And I think this team will play with a chip on their shoulder, much like the 2013 team did. This teams isn't as talented as that one so they won't go 7-1 in league play but they will surprise some teams.
6. Also, our OL coming back as a unit. History shows that OL continuity is nearly as important as talent. This line started to gel in the 2nd half of the year. As long as they stay healthy they will take another step forward.
