national people talking about how he'd be ok, but not the best option.
Crean falls into the rather common category of doing just well enough that a team can't easily fire him but not good enough to justify hiring him when he has such a long and developed track record. His "great" teams still fall short and his bad teams are pretty damn bad.

Is he an upgrade from Kim? Sure. Is that really the metric you want to base the future of the program against?
