But even RGIII, Kaepernick and Newton forced NFL defenses to respect the pass at their peak, and Kaepernick and Newton never really had injury concerns.

I don't think a Brad Smith-style QB would necessarily struggle in the SEC any more than he did at Mizzou against the Big 12 (where he was a 25-23 QB). The game hasn't changed that much.
