I know you want to turn this into an argument, but I never even disagreed with you.
I was replying to this idea: "I'm not really sure why it doesn't work but for the most part it doesn't."
It didn't work with the two Larry Smith experiments because, as we agreed, in both cases one of the two quarterbacks simply wasn't good.
I'd be wary of it, too, if the the multiple caveats I've mentioned aren't met. The reason IMO it rarely works is because meeting all those things is also rare. It's not often a team has two quality quarterbacks who offer complementary skills and a coaching staff equipped to use them both.
