much the same situation as Joeboo where his kid broke his wrist. He went to the hospital, was referred to an orthopedic and ended up not needing surgery. The whole process took less than a week and I'm guessing cost him a fraction of what Joeboo is going to end up paying.
I don't know how many times my wife and I have waffled on taking our kid to the ER because of an injury or illness because we knew it was instantly a couple grand bill to go. So there are definitely pros and cons between the two systems.
