JoebooJr breaks his finger friday night. Take him to nearby emergency room, they splint it and suggest we follow up with an pediatric orthopedic specialist on Monday.

The two options are a facility 10 minutes from our house in Lees Summit, or Childrens Mercy which is basically near downtown KC.

So we make the appointment at the loacal place, fully listed as a PEDIATRIC orthopedic facility...a specialist for kids. JoebooJr has his follow-up appointment today and they recommend that he likely needs a minor surgical procedure to make sure it sets correctly. But they don't perform surgeries, refer us back to Childrens Mercy.

So that was a waste of an appointment, now it'll be several more day and another consultation with Childrens Mercy to likely confirm the same thing and THEN schedule the procedure.

That's a waste of paying for an office visit/consultation and the waste of a weeks time.

Thanks for nothing, local pediatric orthopedist.
