eliminate meaningless bowl games? Conference championship games are played the weekend after the regular season ends prior to any bowl games.

I don't think your 3, 4 and 5 are true.

The length of the season is the same as last season. Champion will play 16 games, same as last season.

It doesn't eliminate bowl games. Only 4 extra teams would make the next round of CFP. I'm guessing the losers of the conference games could still play in bowl games if they choose to.

I don't think it slows/stops conference realignment either.
