Yes, I put a huge emphasis on fan interest and TV interest because at this level of college sports, it’s the main reason you are even involved in sports as an educational institution. The remnant sports are simply to comply with Title 9 and any other requirements currently imposed on you.

To me, that means pursuing being good to decent at sports that entertain the most MU people and enhance the Mizzou brand (in the pursuit of students and alum/fan engagement) through sports with the highest college level visibility.

For me that is

FB
MBB
(Obviously)

VB, SB, WBB next

And not bad at the championship and SEC level
Gymnastics

And not bad at the championship or Mizzou interest level
Wrestling

Baseball is the no man’s land sport to me. The sport itself can be what you’re looking for but the investment is very large for Mizzou. So is the investment worth it?

The rest of the AD is, frankly, in the compliance game (or may have an alum/booster that looks at it as their play thing) with dreams of becoming compelling enough to ascend the hierarchy.
