Not sure about the fine

Another judge in another county told me about the jail sentence. He was warning me to not speed thru there on my way home.

Oh yeah, it was a problem when somebody from out of state got a ticket. They were given a choice to serve the 48 hours immediately or come back for court (it was a mandatory court appearance) and then have to come back again on a weekend to serve their sentence (or I suppose they could serve their sentence right after court). There were no exceptions. Another friend that works for the state court system told me about that part. The dude was hardcore.
