ideally we would recruit good HS prospects and develop them within our system, but that's not a good option for MU in the current environment as JeffB articulated quite well.

Ohio State, Alabama, A&M, etc... schools with enough "NIL" support to be able to retain the top players they develop out of HS... it's still a good route for them to take, combined with the portal to fill in gaps or replace "busts"
