kid decides to go to school. just like there are dozens of variables involved in where you or i decide to work.

could we get paid more to go into a different field in a different city? absolutely. doesn't mean we're getting that job, or even pursuing it. how many people change jobs for equal or lesser pay just to get away from a ****ty manager or bad culture? how many people accept less pay for a job that they like or to work with people that they like? how many people choose to work at a company because there's something they like about that company. or choose not to work for a company because there's something about that company they don't like.

hell we miss out on recruits for stupid things like their girlfriend goes somewhere else or we signed somebody else that they don't like.
