The athletic department does not have anything to do with NIL money. You are not being belittled but want you to have a bit of facts before you write something that is as serious as misappropriating funds. "Whether it be Scholarship money, NIL money (as minuscule as it may be, if any) or if the sky is blue." That sentence right there says you believe there is something to it and you would not have wrote it.
