The area called Transnistria, with their troops permanently on the ground.
When faced with facts, you conveniently avoid them or change the subject. You provide no proof of any kind, but attack other posters when they disagree with you. You are clearly pro-Putin. Where are you from? Did you ever attend Mizzou?
From Wiki:
Russo-Moldovan relations became a main focus of foreign policy for newly established Republic of Moldova. During the war of Transnistria, Russia gave formal and informal support to Moldovan secessionist, direct intervention of Russian 14th Guards Army stationed in Moldova on behalf of the secessionist side resulted in end to fighting and the emergence of the internationally unrecognized entity of Transnistria."
"Russian military presence in Moldova continues to this day, against the will of the Moldovan Government."
"In the 10 years that followed, the Moldovan parliament became dominated by pro-European parties who sought to move the country away from Russian influence and to move closer to Romania and the European Union (EU)."
Russia has been working hard to put leadership into place that will submit to their will and get paid handsomely for it. Even though the will of the parliament I (and the voters) is against it, the President (a former communist party member, surprise surprise) wants to bring Russia closer to them. If he fails and they have a new election which removes him and replaces him with a West-Friendly leader, watch what Russia does. Currently, Dodon has turned his back on the West. He recently announced that he wants to put a ban on any other language but Russian being taught to school children across the country. Moldova's native language is Romanian. Moldavia was part of Romania until 1940, when they were forced to turn over the territory to the Soviet Union under threat of a full-scale invasion, who was occupying the territory with their army.
"Dodon was sworn in on 23 December 2016 in the Palace of the Republic. Three days later, the flag of Europe that had flown next to the Moldovan flag from the building of the Moldovan presidential administration was removed. On 4 January 2017, Dodon met with the president of the breakaway republic of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky."
"Igor Dodon is considered a pro-Russian politician and in favor of the federalization of Moldova, which is in line with the views of Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Kozak and his 2003 Kozak memorandum."
Dodon has been suspended temporarily from his position by the Parliament for not following the Moldovan Constitution on more than one occasion in not appointing pro-West ministers, as their Parliament required.
"On 25 February 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Moldovan chemical tanker MV Millennial Spirit, which was navigating through the Black Sea at the time, was shelled by Russian military forces.[12][13] In light of the invasion of Ukraine, the government of Moldova banned the Russian military symbols V and Z on 7 April 2022."
Attacking civilian ships in neutral seas doesn't demonstrate intent? Russia has already stated they want a land bridge that extends all the way to Transnistria. There can be only one purpose for that: a continuation of their move to dominate the region, which they've been signaling for a while.
