I felt it was a political power play more than any great social justice movement and a slap in the face to those who had given to the program by some players and coaches that benefitted from the scholarship money, etc. No doubt how you feel about it is probably shaped by the same political dynamics that divide the country now. I’m largely over it but I no longer have any naive rah, rah for the Ol U in me either. Watching on TV is fine with me. Maybe I will go to a game if they get more interesting. MU got 18 yrs out of me which is way more than most alums give them which is zilch once they leave.
