Is done for intentionally throwing at a batter. Pitchers basically never threw it at each other. I can maybe remember this happening once or twice. Considering pretty much every other level of baseball (except maybe little league) had adopted DH makes not having a DH dumb in its own way. It is not like the strategy is really that difficult, especially in todays analytics…..and I think many of us are seeing how analytics are slowly ruining most sports.
