In the past, we have missed out on some in state kids. They visit and like things, closer to home, parents can see them play, etc. Then they visit OU or A&M for example, and see 80-100,000 plus who live and die it.
Have to compete somehow with the NIL as well. Kid like Burden might get low 5 figures here, could get 6 figures at a blue blood. Hard to turn down. Playing for the old home state will get outweighed by $$.
