But I think in that era for a mid tier program like Missouri it was important to have coaching continuity and develop players over four and five years. Pinkel did that successfully with his staff. They were able to develop relationships and get a guy like Blaine Gabbert and had a knack for finding diamonds in the rough. They develop good relationships with a lot of the high schools in Texas and wered able to find guys like Danario Alexander. In that era you don’t do that by constantly shuffling coaches in an out. I agree it’s a different era and that kind of coaching continuity doesn’t matter as much
