maximize the return on their talents, but there is absolutely a price to pay for that. Few care that I will not watch with nearly the same interest, and I won't plant my flag in the ground and stomp my feet and boycott, but the bottom line is: you don't follow recruiting like you used to because they may not even play a snap before transferring, bowl games are a joke due to double-figure opt-outs, and the regular season (also hurt by covid and poor attendance), has been diminished by a cast of characters you've never heard of. I want to care, but it's been made difficult. I think the NIL will be the final straw for hundreds of thousands, if not more, of people that loved college athletics.
