HOAs are legit and their children and grandchildren etc. inherit the consent their parents originally gave.

Do you disagree with that line of reasoning.

In any event, in the libertarian scenario you describe you are still left with the same questions I posed.

If either of those governments, local or federal, are authorized by the citizens to levy taxes would you say that they have a 'right' to levy taxes? If not, how would you describe it?
