increasing or decreasing the number of conference games, and (3) the committee will NOT want to p1ss off the SEC by screwing one of its teams out of a bid. The league would threaten to pull out of the playoff completely, leaving it without Texas, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M... you couldn't have a playoff system without those brands participating. No other league has that kind of leverage.
So if Iowa plays a weak 9-game B1G schedule, with Wake Forest, Colorado, and Boston College in the non-con... the CFP isn't going to put them in over a Missouri team that played a 10+ game SEC schedule and has 3+ wins over Top 15 opponents.
