payouts.
Key to my proposal is a change in policy for the LB8, who are already conditioned to take a lesser payout and are currently motivated to do so.
That's fundamental to the deal. So no need to further discuss 'dilution' or 'the way the SEC does it' - I fully understand all of that and am suggesting a change.
So no, for first tier SEC members the payouts will be much greater (thanks to TX/OU additions) and then, beyond that, far greater because the SEC will be able to negotiate a TV deal for 24 teams instead of 16 teams.
The proposal results in:
1. Greater payouts for the 16 SEC teams.
2. More conference wins for the 16 SEC teams.
3. Less chance the 16 SEC teams will cancel each other out of the CFP.
4. A CHANCE, and that's all it is, for the LB8 to play some relevant games.
5. Better payouts for the LB8 vs Mountain West or AAC.
It's a win-win for everyone.
