A medical doctor doesn't just go to school for a 4 yr degree

he/she does extensive studies, residency, etc.

One who gets a bachelors degree in Physics isn't automatically a Physicist for life - any more than one who gets an accounting degree, isn't considered an accountant, if he/she doesn't work in the profession.
One can also be a "former accountant" or a "former physicist" if he/she leaves the profession.

Teaching accountancy (or physics) doesn't make one an "accountant" (or a "physicist")- it makes that person a TEACHER. Now an accountant could also teach - the same as a physicist could teach.
