language. "studies" is a word in the present tense. having a degree would be "studied" which is a word in the past tense. Having a degree does not meet the first criteria.
And that's about the loosest definition I've ever heard of the word. You teach the most basic level of physics there is. Most definitions include being an expert in the field, which you're most certainly not.
