I get what you're saying, but I don't think Yale should expect to finish in the top 10, nor should Nebraska expect to beat Wisconsin, nor should Missouri expect to beat Kentucky.
Yes, the 100-year all-star Nebraska football team should expect to beat the 100-year all-star Wisconsin team, but that isn't relevant at all IMO.
Yale is not a top football program. Neither is Nebraska. They were. They are if you look at 100 years of history. They are not if you look at 20 years of history. That's where we diverge.
