The average American cannot conceptualize the number 380,000,000 and subsequently can't put into context a number like 200,0000. 200,000 sounds like an enormous number when 380,000,000 is basically meaningless to you. 0.04% is also meaningless to most people because they can't understand what that even means.

People are dumb. Statistics should be one of the most important subjects in school.
