And the idiotic curators and Kiesler (former chancellor) who were obsessed with it at the time had no idea what they were doing. Rumeal Robinson (Prop 48) was hitting the winning free throws for Michigan in the national championship game at the same time the curators were raising our admission standards to "within shouting distance of Harvard" and applying them to athletes. We became a national laughingstock and it almost completely destroyed the football program.
