Assume the democrats kept him from closing the borders (which was his claim after things went bad even though he never formally proposed legislation to do and never issued such an executive order which the democrats couldn't have stopped him from doing anyway). Forget he only suggested closing the border from China which would have done no good since the virus had already spread to many other countries which were not to be covered by his alleged ban. Further assume it wasn't too late when he proposed it (some studies now indicate the virus was here earlier than first thought). How would that justify his failure to otherwise address the virus? Even if Democrats were wrong in February not to support a ban of travel from China how does that justify Trumps own failures in February and every month since? Other countries addressed the virus effectively and not only with travel bans. He failed by denying the severity of the problem and failing to prepare the country and that is why our case numbers and daily death tolls are where they are and that is why schools and universities now face such difficult decisions.
More football talk please.
