to both freedom of speech and religion?

Years ago when I coached HS baseball we regularly scheduled games with one of the local Christian schools. Part of their pregame was a prayer. I always had my players line up on the baseline and remove their hats just like the home team. Did quietly listening to a thirty second prayer harm in of my players? Why are we asked to respect other cultures and beliefs but not those of most of our players. Before I hear the normal ‘but what if they were Muslim’ questions my VB team once played what was in effect a Muslim home school association and I had my girls do the same thing.
