Assuming they're accurate, a Fitbit makes it a lot easier

You pretty much know how many calories you're burning and now about anything you eat now has calorie information on is...so just burn more than you consume.
I have been told there's a difference between burning calories through a lot of "active" minutes vs not but i don't understand what the difference could be. I don't understand why it would matter how you burn calories.
