political, i.e. it is not a process for the judiciary, but for the parties. And in this day until that absurd policy of not indicting sitting POTUS is discarded, it is the only way that a sitting POTUS can be held to account for what the Congress defines as a high crime and misdeamor. Note that in the Nixon case, "abuse of power" was one of the articles of impeachment prepared - as it will likely be here along with obstruction of Congress, obstruction of justice and various and asundry bribery/extortion, federal election malfeasance.
