I'm providing perspective that owning a gun isn't as "necessary" as many believe. It's your legal right to do so, and I'm not taking that away. But it's also never the only solution to any one given problem. If you feel it's the "best" solution then that's your choice. I don't think there is any given problem where a gun is the best solution for me personally. That may change, but right now, that's why I choose not to own one.
