There have been any number of posters who have suggested that wind and solar, let alone electric cars, will never prove to be workable to address our energy needs.

And per your govt meddling bullsht point, that very article pointed out alternatives were doing fine with out subsidies. Meanwhile Big Oil takes enormous govt subsidie. But silence from many about those huh? AND if govt subsidies shortened adoption times or invested in development of the technology and that investment led to decreased energy costs for American businesses and consumers - that is a solid and sound investment.
