Yes, the chart does indeed show renewables at 17%. The problem is that 7% of that is hydropower. We aren't building dams for hydropower in the US anymore. Of the top 7 sites in action, the latest one built was 1985.

So, the rest of renewables are still only 10% while coal is 27%. Meaning? We need to triple solar, wind to eliminate coal, to replace natural gas 6 times greater.
Despite using most of the best sites already.
It's a fantasy, not a reality.
