make the standards bad.
I cannot speak to the English or Social Studies standards and there are no CC science standards. But the Math standards are solid. The reason people struggle with them is that instead of focusing on memorizing algorithms the CC standers are about understanding numbers and patterns.
If students actually understand numbers and can see the patterns in the numbers more advanced math skills are much easier to learn.
