hostile to the prosecution?

This is not normal courtroom behavior. There must be a cause. Since the judge addressed very early in the case we all know what it is but the left does not discuss it. This judge is annoyed that his court is being used to stage a show trial. They vastly overcharged Manafort in a fishing expedition to get to Trump.

When your motives are that transparent the judges don't tend to be too friendly.
