How does a PR department prevent journalists from doing journalism? What level of PR jujitsu is going to shut down reporting on the national story of
- a SEC football team threatening a boycott
- a head coach unknowingly supporting a bogus BLM hunger strike
- multiple dozens of roving student would-be reporters ready to capture radical leftist faculty (which is a redundant description in today's academia) on video
- all at the perfect time to dovetail with the rise of a national populist movement responding in backlash to the leftist PC/BLM/LGBQT zeitgeist emboldened by 8 years of Obama?

It wasn't just a perfect storm, it was a perfect tsunami. Public Relations exist for when normal bad news hits. This wasn't normal by any means.
