gross inequities?

I don't. I don't mind paying taxes to help out some poor schmucks who are down on their luck or that feed or clothe poor children. I have done OK in my life and don't begrudge a portion of those blessings going to others.

But do you? Serious question. It seems that Social Darwinism is the approved approach here. Is that right?
