costs now in HC out of it, like it used to be. Third party money, first employers and then much worse, the gov't, has thrown a huge amount of money into the pile, make costs go up everywhere. $1500 a night for a hospital bed is absurd.
Get some tort reform so doctors don't, as they all do now, request lab tests, etc, that a few years ago were never done because the doctor knew they weren't really needed, but today its simply to hold off the lawyers.
Bring down costs and more people can afford to be treated. Too bad it won't happen, thanks to gutless, self-serving pols and an ignorant electorate.
