I once believed the same. But I think that is an unsustainable way forward. I think keeping health insurance in private hands is unsustainable as more and more people fall out of coverage. Plus, the requirement to cover health care for employees put US companies at much more of a disadvantage than the 35% tax rate ever has. It's easy to accept the status quo until something absolutely devastating happens to yourself through no fault of your own. We may have the best health care facilities and possibilities in the world but our health care delivery system is very precarious. There are no perfect solutions but there has to be better way the present way.
