Coming off of single digit win totals, 23 wins would be a good year. In a normal year, 23 wins with the type of SoS we usually have is pretty average.
A great year is going to take more than that. By no means is 20 wins a measurement of a good season in college basketball. There are more games and a lot more cupcakes than there were in the last century when that number actually meant something. Yet, some fans still cling to it.
The modern equivalent of the historical 20-win season might be the sub-10-loss season. Today, single digit losses is a better indicator of the quality of your season.
