in forming character, or the benefits it provides. It certainly doesn't give anyone any reason to pause and give God any consideration if they never have a need or want that isn't met on cue. The benefits of adversity is seen in nature. A mother giraffe drops her baby, at a huge height, and then almost immediately starts knocking it down when it stands up, and keeps on knocking it down. Toughen up kid, is the message. That or die. It is necessary protection for the baby to experience that adversity. Man has to have a legitimate choice. If he is kept from all evil, and from suffering the deadly consequences, he cannot make an informed decision to choose God. Your utopian view is not realistic.
