Death is what allows evolution to exist. An atheist arguing against death as a bad thing is only being inconsistent with their own worldview.
In the instance of "bad" things in general - The “problem of pain” doesn’t rest on God, it rests squarely on the shoulders of sinful mankind in rebellion against their Creator.
A girl without arm may be an ultimate blessing! She may live a life more fulfilled than many others. Technological advancement may be further developed for her &/or by her did to her ailment.
Nonetheless, She would still posess the ability to exhibit & reveal the glory of God in her human form.
Your perceived "bad thing" may work together with all things for "good" & be a very "great thing."
