deformed, could barely use his fingers, could not get out of bed, by himself or take a bath, or a dump, and he was either in his bed, most of the time, or his motorized wheelchair. Bernie. I haven't seen him in years. but he was a great inspiration to me and thousands of others. I'm not sure he ever had a date. But he did have a lot of female friends who were very kind to him and thought well of him.
Bernie has a brilliant mind. From the time I met him, his lack of ability to move about as other people was never an excuse to not do right or complain. He is funny. We were at the school at the same time for a year or a year and a half before he graduated and moved on. I also roomed with a man who was born blind for one school year. It was difficult for him, but he was a nice man, a little older, and a great roommate. These people are not abandoned in the Christian community.
What Christ was talking about, was that the blindness was specifically given to the man, knowing He would heal the man. Christ was God in the flesh, and Christ's healing of the man was evidence that He is the Messiah, God come to earth in the flesh. The miracles He performed proved/demonstrated the power of God over death, sin, disease, the earth, and the devil.
